Hello! Thank you for visiting my website. I am an M.D. candidate (co 2026) at University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine and a Dartmouth College graduate in Psychology with minors in Medical Anthropology and Health Public Policy.
I have been a musician since an early age: a pianist, guitarist, songwriter, and composer. I discovered a passion for healing while volunteering as a piano music therapist in a memory care unit; seeing the reactions of patients was more rewarding than any accolade or concert. Since then, I have continued integrating creativity into medicine, most recently authoring and illustrating children’s books on common medical conditions. As the child of Soviet immigrants who often struggle to navigate the US healthcare system, I strive to bring cultural competence to every clinical encounter, always taking care to understand the patient’s culture, family, and community context. I am pursuing ophthalmology due to the fascinating and intricate anatomy, patient population, and the opportunity to make a substantial impact on quality of life with every medical and surgical intervention. On this website, you will learn about me and a few projects I am currently working on, as well as preview some of my work. Stay tuned for more information. Thank you! “Creativity is a wild mind and a disciplined eye.” – Dorothy Parker |
